Educated in the UK and the USA, Michael qualified from Guy’s Medical and Dental School, University of London and gained his Licentiate from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1976.
From 1987 to 1995 he was an active member of the Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster NHS Service Committee and the dental representative on the disciplinary panel. Following on-going post-graduate training in cosmetic, restorative and implant dentistry, in 1995 he completed a one year implant course and then a two year programme at the Eastman Dental Institute in London where he gained his Master’s, being awarded an MSc in Conservative Dentistry in 1997.
This is a special sphere of dentistry concerned with the conservation of natural teeth, the prevention of dental disease and the reconstruction of the mouth to its natural function and appearance. In 2007 Michael completed a year’s further formal training in endodontics (root-canal treatment) and has a special interest in this field. He has been in practice in central London for over 35 years and his long experience of all aspects of dentistry puts him in good stead in providing gentle, appropriate care for most dental needs.
He is a member of the British Society of Restorative Dentistry and the British Endodontic Society.
