If you’ve got big plans this Valentine’s Day, we know you’re going to want to look and feel your best. But if you’re needing an extra boost of confidence for whatever you have planned, the team at Sarum Dental Practice are on hand to help! AirFlow jet polishing treatment at our Salisbury practice can give you that extra boost of self-confidence and support your oral hygiene with a deep clean like you’ve never experienced before.
What is AirFlow?
AirFlow jet polishing is kind of like the dental equivalent of pressure-washing your car, except it’s much gentler! This treatment is fast, pain-free and is very effective at giving you that deep clean your gums need. This chemical-free method uses a focused stream of fine bicarbonate powder, water and air that blasts away plaque from under the gum line and will also remove stubborn stains from the surface of your teeth. AirFlow polishing treatment is 3x faster than the traditional ‘scale and polish’ method meaning less time for you in the dental chair! It’s no wonder why this refreshing treatment has become a favourite amongst our patients at Sarum Dental Practice.
‘I have sensitive teeth – will AirFlow polishing hurt?’
We sympathise with our patients who experience dental sensitivity and always go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable whilst undergoing treatment. If the thought of traditional cleaning instruments intruding on sensitive areas of your teeth and gums makes you wince, we definitely recommend AirFlow as a pain-less method of deep-cleaning. The fine particles within the jet stream are helpful in filling in the very small holes in your tooth’s dentition that cause you to experience sensitivity in the first place – that is to say AirFlow can even help to reduce the sensitivity you already experience!
